A Message To Our Clients

Dear Milestone Real Estate Lawyers’ Clients and Partners,

The health and wellbeing of all the clients, employees and friends of Milestone Real Estate Lawyers has been and always will be our top priority.  With the COVID-19 (Corona Virus) pandemic front and center in all our minds, we want to take this opportunity to inform you of the steps we are taking to address the issue and assure you we will do our best to serve you during this challenging time.

We are currently Open for Business and have taken action to educate our team on monitoring their health, strengthening hygiene practices and exercising a high degree of caution with respect to exposure to Covid-19 including social distancing on the job, working from home where appropriate and ensuring all employees follow the BC Centre for Disease Control guidelines for individuals who travel including 14-day self-isolation for any travel outside of Canada.

Specific changes affecting client service include:

Earlier closure of our office to allow staff to more thoroughly clean and sanitize the office. Our office will close one hour earlier than the normal posted times.

  • Staggered work hours and work-from-home scenarios which may result in possible response time delays from certain staff members.
  • Expanding the space for clients and lawyers to interact, for example, lawyers and clients will put some distance between each other (i.e. one to two meters).
  • Use of voice and video conferencing instead of in-person meetings where possible.
  • Use of voice and video conferencing to reduce the time spent for necessary in-person meetings.

Hand Hygiene:

Ensuring our office remains stocked with soap and disinfectant supplies and if available offering hand sanitizer at the entrance of our office.

Employees Who Feel Unwell:

We are supporting our employees to stay home if they are sick and have a requirement for our employees to self-monitor their health and to apply a low threshold when feeling unwell to stay home until they are better.

We trust that these actions will minimize any disruption to our service levels to you. Rest assured we will continuously monitor the recommendations of our local health authorities and governments and keep you informed of any changes to our operations that may affect our ability to provide you with the service and support you have come to expect from us. Our thanks to you for your patience and understanding.

Special thanks also to all those in the healthcare industry and our first responders who are helping on the front lines to keep us all healthy and safe.
